Some Simple Touches for the Bedroom

My room was painted blue over a year ago now, maybe longer. On my journey to paint all the molding in the house white, I landed in my bedroom recently. Once I painted the molding white, I felt like the room came to life again. So I decided to stay for awhile and make a few more changes and or additions. The typical things like new bedding, [long on my want list], and piles of pillows, a new bed skirt from Joss and Main, and of course some touches of black. I also replaced the dated roll shades with white, wood, slat, mini-blinds, and some beautiful white sheer drapes and iron rods, from Pottery Barn. I added two matching mirrors to either side of the window behind my bed, and painted the bed white. I also gave my bed tray an update, from sage green to black. Everything is a journey for me. I am kind of all over the place, which drives my husband crazy sometimes. Its just that I am looking for certain pieces and until I find them I move on to other rooms. So, yes, I always have several projects going on at the same time, but trust me, it is all organized in my brain.

Things are starting to come in. These pillow covers I’ve had for awhile now, but the pillow inserts just arrived. they look pretty in this antique wire basket, just waiting in the wings.
