Adding some Beachy Touches

Every year around the end of May or early June, I am ready to go to the beach and I am ready to add some beachy touches to my home. I keep it simple, just a few shells, star fish, and of course some flowers, but just enough to put me in the mood. Here are just a few pictures I captured on one of the days I was moving some things around to get the house ready for summer. Once its in place, I don’t mess with it too much.

I started by filling my three-tiered stand from Pottery Barn to the brim with shells, star fish and a few candles.

Then some fresh cut Rhododendron from my mothers yard, mixed with some star fish.

And of course some grasses in a pitcher, a lovely print from Dear Lillie, a simple star fish and a piece of coral {fake of course}, to make the mantle look summery.

Even a few star fish for the front porch.

And that is pretty much it. I don’t go over board to much, just add in a few touches, to my already existing décor.

Thanks for Stopping by the Blog
