When it comes to Boxwood, lets face it, its an investment , but I have to have it. It is one of those things worth indulging in. They pack a punch as far as making your rooms look and feel beautiful, and add the look of something live. It simply adds a richness to the room that nothing else seems to do. It gives your space a pulled together look. Its fancy with out being stuffy, glamorous without being over the top. Its traditional and trendy, and that is a win, win, in my book.
So what do I recommend you need to get started. I would say as far as wreaths go, choose the 6″ because of its endless uses, pick up as many as you need to set your table, for me 6 is the magic number. You can lay them on a plate for a statement making table scape, or hang them on the back of your kitchen or dining room chairs with a sweet ribbon, they also fit around a 3′ candle, which you can set anywhere.
Next choose a 12″ size for hanging on cabinet doors, the center of a kitchen hutch, or maybe over top of a mirror.
The next size you might consider is a large wreath, it could be any where from 22″, 24″, 28″, or even 30″, they come in many sizes. I have a 24″ wreath hanging on top of my extra large, antique, chalk board in my study, and a 28″ hanging in my living room, layered over 4 prints. They are not for outdoors and they don’t like the sun. So choose wisely where you hang them. They also like a little spray of water every now and then. But WOW, what a difference they will make.
You can also find Boxwood in topiary and ball forms, and in all shapes and sizes. The price goes up as the size goes up, but again worth every penny, for high impact.
They make a statement, and add some pizzazz to an otherwise dull room. I feel they give the room a finishing touch. I hope you try some Boxwood, but be warned………. you will get hooked. They are very addicting. Check my shop The Arrows Nest, we are stocking them as we can get ahold of them.
