I actually can not even imagine, in what scenario where these baskets would look good. I guess that is why we found a shelf spilling over with them at Lowes yesterday. As we passed by the shelf, I reminded my husband about the ones I left behind at Homegoods, we had already made one trip back to look for them with no luck, and I was telling him how we would be making several trips back until we found them, when he said what about these. I mean they were the same size, but God awful ugly, but then, what comes out of his mouth, “can’t you paint them?” I mean of course I could paint them, he knew that, I paint everything. So in the cart they went, but I told him, don’t think this means we wont be going back to Homegoods, ha ha!!! Anyway as soon as we got home, out back I went to paint, I mean it was a balmy 50 degrees out side, so I had to take advantage of the gorgeous day. Here is how it went down.
Ladies we really need to keep our eyes open for these crazy deals. We can save a little cha-ching and have fun transforming our finds into what will work for our space. This literally took me an afternoon. Additionally I spray painted the brackets, which were a brushed nickel, for some over the toilet shelving, we picked them up at Lowes, and I painted them in the same primer and Gold Paint.
It is about impossible to get any photos of this tight space, but the shelving came out lovely, and I added the baskets to free up space in the vanity sink drawer to keep some curling irons and flat irons, since there is no linen closet in here. Two very quick DIY’s for very little money.
