Here we are at Week-4, the time has gone by so quickly. I have so many other ideas, I would love to create and share with you, I guess, they will have to wait until next time. How fun would a Hoop Wreath series be? Woo Hoo!!! Let me know? I collaborataed with AFloral to bring you 4-weeks of 5-minute florals, and this has been so much fun.
I wanted to add the sweetest touch to my Dining Room Mirror. So I thought I would give this little garland a try. I have a big collection of ribbons and strings, that I tuck into a bin, every time I get one on a package or gift bag. So I headed right to that bin to find a piece, to use for this project. I wanted something pretty substantial but still very fluid. This piece of heavy duty twine was perfect.
Here are the supplies I used for this project.
piece of twine
Simplistic, was my goal, I used floral wire to wrap the greens to the twine, so they would be flexible. Then trimmed the ends.
After I attached the greens I decided to use 7 of the Rose heads, (you could use silk, or even dried rose heads, from a grocery store bouquet). I trimmed the tiny stem, and glued with the glue gun, holding the rose head, in place for a few seconds, until it was secure.
I simply worked my way across, adding a rose head hear and there, but trying to keep it well balanced.
Lastly, I added a knot to each end of the twine, and also added a wire, as you would to hang a picture. So it created a circle. I then tucked the wire behind the mirror, as well as the knots of twine, which held it in place. I love the soft, subtle, Romantic touch it added to my Favorite Mirror.
Thanks you so much for stopping back each week, to check out the florals. Looking forward to another series, soon.
If you missed any of the arrangements, let me give you a quick link to each one here.
Thanks For Stopping by The Blog
