Sometimes I swoop into a space, empty the entire room, paint and redecorate everything, but truthfully I don’t do that very often. I am more of a creep in and make a few adjustments, kind of girl. I enjoy tweaking my spaces, little bits at a time, then stepping back and before you know I have another idea, and I am either off to another room, or I am making another tweak right there before I finish. I kind of get an idea, start the roll, and then feel my way through the job. Can anyone relate to that?
I recently landed in this second floor bathroom. There is a method to my madness. Soon, like very soon, we will be forced to gut and remodel the last of thirteen rooms in our home, the first floor bathroom. Because the first floor bathroom is the main bathroom in the house, it has always been so needed, that it has always seemed impossible to gut. So in all of the 23 years we have lived here, we have never done a thing to the space downstairs. Its yucky. I love all the white in this second floor Bathroom, so easy to maintain. And a few really special touches, the Cameo on the wall is Vintage and I found it in the house when we bought it, the crystal light fixture above the sink is from Lamps Plus, and its gorgeous, and the Chandelier is also Vintage.
Knowing that this job will be forced upon us soon, I decided to pop into our second floor bathroom and make a few adjustments, to make it more usable as a main bathroom, for the time period that we will be with out a shower on the first floor. We have a beautiful second floor bathroom, with a Vintage tub, its a dream. It has a shower but seems a little claustrophobic when you are in there. I just hope my big football player size, hubby fits in there, or at least can tolerate it for a bit. Anyway, I added these gorgeous Lined Linen Shower Curtains from Casadelinos and they are a dream. Also, check out the most adorable waffle knit hand towel, its so cute. And these drop dead gorgeous small Jar Candles from Hill House Naturals, smell amazing and they are such pretty glass.
While I was in here I realized that a shelf would be really nice under this Antique Mirror that hangs over the tub, which was my late Grandmothers. So I am on the hunt for that and then I will creep in here again. However just adding the updated shower curtains and some new soaps, made a huge difference. I did a bit of reorganizing, and I think when the day comes, I will be ready. I am not looking forward to it, I am not a fan of Demo Day, as most are. I am in the middle of a Demo right now, and it is wearing me down. I keep the door closed, because simply seeing the mess gives me anxiety. We are having trouble getting the correct quantity of ceiling tiles that we need, you know there is always something that gives you a hard time, and makes you a little crazy. Anyway…..thanks for stopping by the Blog π
