I have to be honest and say I do not set a pretty table, nearly as often as I wish I did. Since I just painted the dining room table, I thought I would see what I could pull together, for a perfectly appointed spring table scape. I started by layering the dishes, did I mention how much I love dishes. I started here with the black, square plates, from Longaberger Pottery, layered a salad plate, from Pottery Barn, and these sweet Whimsical Appetizer Plates from Painted Fox Treasures, I used as bread plates. Layered on top of the plates I added a cloth napkin pulled through a flower pot napkin holder. Then pulled some decorations from around the house to add to the center of the table.
This Silver compote, we paid $8.00 for, tarnish and all, filled with nest its perfect. Then I pulled some potted Daffodils from the living room to coordinate with the flower pot napkin holders, and course a pair of sweet bunnies for the finishing touch.
After dinner, I used the Simple Farmhouse Tray from Painted Fox Treasures, to carry every thing to the table, I would need to serve dessert!
Well today was a gorgeous day here in PA. I sure hope spring is on the way where ever you live!
