Welcome friends, thank you for stopping by for a visit. Lets go on a tour of my 2020 deck. I add a little more every year. Partly for budget reasons and partly because that is how I enjoy doing it. I often say if I had all the money I needed to do everything and have the entire house finished, I would be so bored, because I wouldn’t have any projects. So lets get on with it. this is stepping out onto the deck from our Family Room French doors.
This year we added three beautiful ceramic planters, that we got a great deal on at a local discount store. One is White and absolutely huge and has two Clematis’s in it, then this Black one filled with pretty purple flowers, and the Cobalt Blue Glazed pot on the table filled with a Kimberly Queen Fern-my favorite. I have these ferns everywhere, inside and out.
Additionaly, I always bring a few houseplants onto the deck for a Summer in the sun. Any cactus’s or succulents do really well out here.Last year I added this Rose Topiary, and it is doing so well.
This Umbrella from Abbapatio.com is large and in charge and easy to open with its crank handle. Doesn’t it make such a statement. More importantly this deck has sun on it from sun up to sun down, so this Umbrella is heavily used and appreciated.
Here you can get a peek at my Pencil Cactus, and Jade Plant, they love the sun, and should do quite a bit of growing over the next few months out here.
The seat in this space, this beautiful large Egg Chair, big enough to hold a large man and a child or snuggle in and take a nap, like I do. This pretty white pillow is Indoor/Outdoor and one of my absolute favorites.
Did you notice that view out there, its incredible.
Here is where I sit with my coffee on those perfect mornings.
So there it is, a little retreat to escape to. Soon I will share a tour of our Patio below. It’s shaded and the perfect spot to retreat too, on any day when you are looking to get out of the sun. We have been working on refreshing the paint on the walls and doors below, and also on the furniture. Everything is getting a facelift and I am loving the process and seeing the transformation. Stay tuned for that coming soon.
Thanks for Stopping by the Blog
