DIY-Framing a Print

If you are in need of something to hang on your wall and possibly fill a large space. Or, maybe like me, you need just one more thing to add to a room to make it work. Maybe it’s just that you are on a tight budget but want to make a big impact. Then try purchasing a print and framing it. It’s a pretty simple process. Purchase the desired print in a size you would prefer then purchase a frame with the matte for the size print you have.

For example, my daughter bought me a gift a couple of years ago,  it is an  8  x 10 print of a beautiful quote by Emily Ley, it reads, “I will hold myself to a standard of GRACE not PERFECTION” it’s on white paper and has gold-foiled letters, it’s beautiful. I finally got around to buying a frame for it. I wanted it to be much larger than its 8 x 10 size. I found a rather large roses gold frame at Homegoods with a very large matte, it measures 17 x 21,  but has an opening for an 8 x 10 print.

Simply take the back off the frame, insert your print, and using an archival adhesive attach it to the matte board,. Replace the backing. Then hang using the proper picture hanger according to the weight of your picture.

The result is the perfect finished wall. I am in love. This hangs in my bedroom as a reminder.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!
