I’ve loved this Wall Tapestry so much, but I simply tired of it. Additionally I wanted something that had a cooler verses warmer look and feel, and I simply enjoy change, you feel me.
I partnered with posterstore.com to create a gallery wall in this space. I had never really had too much success before creating Gallery Walls, they always felt busy and cluttered, but I felt starting from scratch would be better than trying to create a gallery wall with things I already had. This way every piece would coordinate. I created a Mood Board and moved pieces on and off comparing them to each other. But you could easily fill your cart with pieces to see how they relate to each other, or take a close up screenshot of each piece and evaluate in your camera roll. I kept Black and White my focus, so that I would have the option of moving the pieces to another room in the future.( you know I will) I wanted to make an impact again, after having that huge 8′ tapestry. I focused on the center piece, I wanted something that had an ethereal quality and just a touch of color since everything else would be black and white, and I think I found the perfect piece, I chose a large size for impact. I then built off that, moving pieces on and off my Mood Board to see how they played with the main piece. I considered empty space-like that of the Owl and birds, texture-like that of the owl and birch trees, and mixed words in as well. In the end I was excited to place my order, and get these pieces in my home. I also ordered all of my frames and all in the same black metal, to simplify the look. The best part is that these posters are so affordable, and you could order all at once or slowly over time. Once we received the pieces we framed them and my husband made templates from a roll of craft paper, that were the exact size of each framed piece. We found center on the wall, measured and taped them to the wall as a guide. I wanted a sharp straight line at the bottom. I played with several configurations, but landed on this because it felt the least cluttered. I left only an 1″ space between the frames.
I just left the paper on the wall for a day, and kept looking at it, until I was sure. I didn’t want too many nails in the wall. After a day, we hung the frames and I am thrilled with the change. I think it works well with my everyday decor, but will also work well for Fall and Christmas.
The best part is that Poster Store has agreed to share a discount code for all of you. Use the code: tammy35 at checkout for 35% off your poster purchase. (discount does not apply to frames or selection posters) Choose from hundreds and hundreds of posters and in multiple sizes.

I still have a few things I am working on in here, as per usual, rearranging plants and maybe the next time you see this space there will be a touch of Fall. But this wall was very important for the rest of the space to come together. I will check back in later with more of an update. I am known for doing things in stages, and I have always said I kind of feel my way.
